On this trip, you will get to experience the relaxed atmosphere of wineries in the surrounding areas of Rome and taste quality wines at delightful wineries.

About half an hour away from Rome is the well-known wine region of Frascati. From there you can see the plain surrounding Rome. In Frascati, the air is fresh, the landscape is green and the view is stunning.

In Frascati, the historic more than 300-year-old winery Santa Benedetta is located, where you can learn about the farm’s wines and olive oil and enjoy an excellent lunch surrounded by vineyards. The journey continues to the Pope’s summer residence village of Castel Gandolfo, to the majestic panoramic views of the volcanic Albano lake and to the unique Arte & Vino wine bar, which is like a museum.

On the way, we will also get to know the historic town of Orvieto and spend the day enjoying good wines and delicacies. Orvieto is one of Italy’s most beautiful and famous ancient cities, located on the hills known for their volcanic soil in Umbria, right next to the province of Tuscany. At the Madonna del Latte winery, you can taste the farm’s high-quality wines and delicacies from local producers, such as organic cheeses from the neighboring farm.

Rome’s magnificent 5* luxury hotel Parco dei Principi offers a luxurious setting for relaxation after active days in the hotel’s large swimming pool or in the hotel’s stunningly exquisite spa. A 4-course dinner with wines led by a sommelier at the hotel’s prestigious Pauline Borghese restaurant crowns this extended weekend trip.

Day 1

Direct Finnair morning flight from Helsinki to Rome. Accommodation at the upscale Parco Dei Principi hotel. Free time during the day. Four-course dinner with wines at the hotel’s Pauline Borghese restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast, departure by private transport to the village of Frascati, about half an hour’s drive away, to the historic winery Santa Benedetta. Italian hospitality awaits you at the farm. Wine tasting, olive oil tasting and lunch at the farm. The trip continues with a chartered transport to the beautiful village of Castel Gandolfo, where we start by admiring the panoramic view of Lake Albano. Afterwards, we recommend a glass at the Arte e Vino restaurant, where you can take a wonderful self-guided tour of the wine cellar. Return transport back to Rome and a free evening.

Day 3

After breakfast, departure to the city of Orvieto. Transfer to the train station, from where the train journey to Orvieto takes less than an hour. Ordered transport from the train station to the Madonna del Latte winery. Getting to know the winery, wine tasting and tasting lunch with delicacies from local producers at the Madonna Del Latte family-owned winery. After that, return transport to Orvieto, where you have free time to explore the village of Orvieto. Orvieto is one of Italy’s most beautiful and famous ancient cities. The city is located in the hills known for their volcanic soil in Umbria, right next to the province of Tuscany. Transfer to the nearby train station and back to Rome. Free night. We recommend an evening in the lively district of Trastevere.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel and free time to explore Rome. Departure to Fiumicino airport and Finnair evening flight to Helsinki.
